The Muppet movie has finally been released in Australia. I'm planning to see it with a friend soon. The Muppets were a large part of my childhood and were deeply formative. ( Cut for talk of anxiety )

I love Miss Piggy! 

I'm taking my mum to hospital later for a CT scan. She contracted a kidney infection while in hospital. The last CT scan indicated she was better, but the doctors just want to check to make sure it has completely cleared up. Afterwards, we're all going to a beach side restaurant to celebrate my birthday. I'm probably going to have a large serving of pizza. 

 1.  I went to my grading today. It took me a while to get their because I've been preoccupied with a lot of things over the last few months, but I finally got there and I have my yellow belt! I'm finally a yellow belt! \o/ 

2. I can't tell you how happy I am to see Twelve Kingdoms things being blogged on Tumblr. It was getting so little attention for a long time. 3. It's freezing down here! It's supposed to be the coldest winter we've had in years. And yeah, it definitely seems that way. I'm a little jealous of those of you in the northern hemisphere experiencing summer.  

  I JUST finished writing a huge essay! It was my last assignment for the trimester! I get to have a break now. I haven't been posting much, but now I'll be around a lot more lately. Now I can catch up with friends, write fic, re-watch Princess Tutu and sleep in!  \o/ Not  necessarily in that order, though! 

My dad was released from hospital yesterday morning. He's still very weak and the doctors predict it will take up to three to four months to recover his strength. But I am relieved that he's finally home.

I've been doing tutoring and voluntary work lately, and I've been looking for part time/full time work for  awhile. But I can't do that now because I need to take care of things at home. I went to see a job capacity assessor yesterday, and she told I didn't need to search for employment for the next four months. She also told me she'd be wiling to do a reassessment if the situation didn't improve by that time. She was really friendly and understanding.

Just before I went to the assessor, my caseworker at the employment agency I'm with made jokes about putting pressure on me to get a job while looking after my parents. He also told me not to mention I'm studying as well because the assessor would just dismiss it. But, she actually did take that into consideration. Normally, I try to ignore his assholish behaviour, but ... right now, I'm just not in the fucking mood. I have an appointment with him next week, but I won't  have to see him for a while after that.

I finished the last of my assignments for this month! At least I've got something out of the way!

From now on, the ladies posts I do are going on Tumblr as well as LJ and Dreamwidth. I enjoy doing them a lot and I'm really happy that people seem to enjoy them too.

I've been thinking about following suit with many others on my flist and make another journal to put my fanfiction and other writing on. So I have this journal for mostly fannish, real life things etc. I might look into it more tomorrow. I'm too tired now. :p

Also, I LOVE the new One Piece opening! I was hoping it would as epic as the events that will soon take place in the anime and didn't disappoint! Holy crap it's so good! One Piece and Namie Amuro. <3333

I had plans to head into Melbourne tomorrow with two of my friends so I could help with a same-marriage rally being held in St. Kilda. However, it's been canceled due to flash flooding. Even driving in Melbourne is impossible right now.

Also, one of my friends rang earlier and said she couldn't go anyway because some things have come up she's going through a pretty difficult time.

My other friend asked me if I wanted to try and see Black Swan tomorrow. I said I would.

I was planning on writing a review for a novel a read last year about lady convicts in the 1830s, but I'm feeling too anxious to finish it right now. I'll most likely get it done in a few days.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to see Black Swan the other day. It was sold out by the time we got there. Oh well, I'll just have try again some other day.

So, I decided to go go out and dance. Something I rarely do.  It was fun, but some dude came up to me and knocked me. He gave a half-hearted apology, then nudged me repeatedly. He wanted me to give in and start dancing with him. I ignored him at first. My friend intervened and told him I wasn't interested . But he kept pushing me, this time a little harder, putting put me off balance. Finally, I gave him a firm shove. He looked shocked and offended, then left. At this point, I just rolled my eyes and kept dancing with my friend.

55 people are missing in the Queensland and 15 people have died due to the flash flooding. The floods have also spread to NSW, Victoria and Tasmania. Me and my family live in an area of Victoria that is safe from flooding. I've been calling my friends, who mostly live in NSW and Vic to see if they have been hit by the floods. They are all safe for the moment. 

In about November last year I applied to do a Masters Degree. I don't have a job, except for occasionally tutoring kids and the voluntary work I got last month, so I though it would be worth applying.

After a little time had gone past, I thought it would be better for me to focus all my energy on starting a career. But, this morning I was accepted to do a Masters Degree in Writing and Literature! I could defer it for another year, but seriously thinking about taking the offer for this year. I was worried (and still am a little) that it's too early for me to take on the stress of studying again. I might just turn into a bundle of nerves again and be a total disappointment. But there's also a part of me that's screaming "Do it; take this opportunity." Well, I do have five days to decide.

Urgh, sorry for the extremely convoluted post, I'm just ... feeling a lot of things at the moment and needed to get it out there.
