May. 18th, 2011 11:06 pm I wish I could participate in the upcoming,
fma_ladyfest. But I'm too occupied with other things at the moment. I'm writing a script for uni at the moment about two girls who go to acting school, become BFF and help each other become better actors. It's doesn't sound or feel too exciting at the moment. I need to work on the character dynamics. I feel as though I don't have a very firm grasp on them yet.
I read all available volumes of Pumpkin Scissors, but I've procrastinated on posting my opinions on it. Basically, it is awesome and Alice Malvin is the greatest. Female characters don't often get to play the part of the very idealistic, yet strategically challenged hero. I love the great reversal of roles in this manga, with Alice as the brave and reckless herione, with Randel being the more patient and practical one. I absolutely adore the fact he hero-worships Alice. He follows her around like a puppy dog and becomes enthusiastic about war relief because of her. I just love him so much. <33 I can definitely see where the comparison between this series and FMA. They're both very hopeful narrative excellent world-building and government conspiracies. Unfortunately, we have to wait a long time to learn about the conspiracy, but I firmly believe IT WILL BE WORTH THE LONG, LONG WAIT.
I've decided I really need to re-watch the whole series of Princess Tutu when things settle down a little. It's been so, so long since I've watched it all. I miss it and feel obligated to watch my forever show in its entirety for the fourth time.
