Sailor Moon Anime
Jul. 7th, 2012 04:36 pm Over on Tumblr, I've been celebrating the fact there will be a new Sailor Moon anime scheduled for 2013!
This adaptation will follow the manga series closer than the original anime did. As much as I liked the first anime series, the manga is spectacular. I want Sailor Mars to have have the same characterization she did in the manga, a rather distant and sophisticated young woman with zero interest in dudes. I want my biromantic asexual Miko superheroine, damn it! And for Sailor Uranus and Neptune to be the Cool Big Sisters for the younger Senshi, like in the manga. Also, I want Mamoru to not be a jerk who breaks up with his girlfriend "for her own good." And that's just a few things I'd want to see.
Though, I would like to see the villains fleshed out in the new anime. That was one of my favourite things about the originals series! The arcs for Queen Nehelenia and the Ayakashi Sisters were probably my favourites in the whole anime.
