Ahiru still practiced ballet as a duck. Sometimes she would perform ballet movements to convey her feeling to Fakir. At other times, she did for pure enjoyment and slight nostalgia for her human life.

As a girl, Ahiru would often casually skip through Cold Crown Town and glance behind her to gaze briefly at her shadow. Her legs were long and a little awkward, a fact Ahiru was reminded of every time she tripped over them. However, they enabled her to learn ballet. 

Whenever Ahiru stood on the tips of her webbed feet and spread her wings, she would briefly glance behind her. She could clearly see her small frame outlined on the grass. Her movements could never have the grace of Princess Tutu, but Fakir often said her dancing was incredibly beautiful. Her movements were mesmerizing and conveyed her feelings vividly. Though the movements of her short wings felt somewhat awkward as she danced, Ahiru had never loved dancing more than when she was a duck.secondlina
