Title: Instincts
Fandom: Revolutionary Girl Utena
Characters: Kozue
Summary: Kozue contemplates on her relationship with her brother.
Warning: Disturbing material, though that probably goes without saying.
Kozue walked through the school gardens to feed the animals. The birds would often sit on her hand as they ate birdseed from her palm. Kozue felt a deep empathy for wild animals that she rarely felt for other people. They only did what was necessary to survive. Unlike people, who mainly lived to fuel their own egos.
Kozue sat on the wet grass, pushing her uncovered legs into the dirt. Rabbits gathered around her and hungrily chewed on the carrots she offered. She smiled a little.
Her brother didn’t seem to realize that he lived within fairy tale, immune to reality. But Kozue had quickly learned that social standards morals were only obstacles. After spending such a long time away from home and the rules of her father, that manipulating and seducing men came easily to her.
Miki, for all his intelligence, couldn’t see that they were animals and only needed each other. He needed her to show him.
